Three years ago, our founder Charlotte* lost her beloved dog, Max, a loyal companion who had been by her side for 12 beautiful years. Max wasn't just a pet; he was family. He was there through career changes, relationship ups and downs, moves across the country, and countless quiet evenings on the couch. He was her constant, her comfort, her home.

When Max passed away, the grief was overwhelming. Charlotte found herself reaching for her phone to share something funny with him, setting out his food bowl by habit, and feeling his absence in every corner of her home.

Searching for Connection

In those raw, difficult weeks, Charlotte wanted something tangible, a way to keep Max close while she navigated life without him. She wanted to honor the joy he brought, not just mourn his absence.
